I was praying my Rosary the last day and then I said the prayer to St.Michael the Archangel after as I always do. When I was saying my prayers something said to me “I will destroy your soul” I continued praying but this has terrified me and I don’t know what is means, I know satan always tries to distract us while praying has this happened anyone else? I would normally say the rosary daily but last week I was babysitting and I fell behind in my prayers only getting a chance to say them now and again, I thought then is it satan trying to stop me praying? Please help

If Satan is going to destroy your soul, why would he notify you first? Just think about that for a minute to see that he wouldn’t be telling you about it if he had that power. Wouldn’t he just do it?

Just handle it as some freakiest thought that happens to all of us now and then.

May God bless and keep you. May God’s face shine on you. May God be kind to you and give you peace.

In some way, shape or form, it has happened before and you are not the only one.

Just try your best to ignore it.

HI,

I get this same message from alot of non-catholics, whom when they find out that I pray to the Saints etc…They think I sould be praying to God alone, and I will be not going to heaven doing what I do.

Take it with a grain of salt and as Paul tell us:

(Rom 1:5) By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith, in all nations, for his name:

Bill

I could be a demon trying to scare you into quitting the rosary, or it could be just a random thought. Demons can and will do things like that. I had a similar encounter. Either way, simply ignore it. The last thing you want to do is quit praying. Ask the Lord for protection, and keep on truckin’. 🙂

It’s a good sign really, No matter what, pray your rosary. The devil hates the rosary, and it hurts him a lot when you say it, so keep it up!

Many saints were “bothered” by unclean spirits while praying, just ignore them. They are terrified of a little Jewish girl very renowned for her humility- we call her the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the Angels, and Terror of demons.

: D

God Bless You!!****

I agree with the person that posted above me, that said it’s actually a good sign. It very well might have been the devil trying to get you to stop praying the Rosary. He hates anyone who prays it, but especially those who pray it with real devotion. You must be doing something right to make him respond to your prayers that way. If those words came to you after you said the St. Michael prayer, then that’s even more significant. He really hates St. Michael because he keeps the devil under control, like a dog on a chain. Don’t let him discourage you! Just ignore him (or laugh at him) if he tries to distract you in any way, then just continue praying as you normally would. Don’t let him know that it bothers you in any way, even if it does.

While you’re at it, please pray for me, too! 😃

Treat it like a temptation. Work hard at being a good Catholic and don’t ever let Satan destroy your soul. God bless you.
