What do Catholics believe about Bible?

Hi, im new to the catholic faith, but i have been a christian for 4 years. Im a little bit confused, because i was told that, for instance, that in genesis, the world may not of been created in 7 days. So far in my christian faith, in previous church, i was taught to believe in the bible, 100%. Please help me, im a little bit confused.
