What do "gay" activists hope to achieve when they protest at the Vatican naked?

How do they reason that having four letter words written on their naked bodies and shouting about how they hate the Catholic Church will stop what they call “homophobia”? I can’t show the pictures of the naked protesters. 🤷

But I can show these ones.

I think their reasoning is: if we do this, the media and the web will talk about us. :o

Sounds about right.

Remember, God is all that is good. This includes reason, logic, rationality and love.

Hence, these people, who have chosen to reject God, embody none of these qualities… as a result, we get nonsense like this.

Hey, weren’t we just told that they don’t hate the Church…

Not all of them do, we know (must it even be said?), but I’ve never seen a Vatican flag burn until now.

I have been posting on the other thread where this quote comes from. Yes, this specific group of gay activists appears to hate the Church. The problem comes when people try to lump everyone who supports anything related to homosexual people in the same group as these people.

The Catholic Church is an easy target for such activists. Image trying to protest at all the supposed 40,000 non catholic Christian denominations.

I don’t hear or read about those who don’t think like these activists taking them to task. If you are aware of any, please let me know. I don’t mean that in a sarcastic manner either. 🙂

I’ve never seen any other “gay” activist group publicly denounce these kind of protests. Have you? 🙂

This particular bunch need publicity, and by doing outrageous things, they get attention. Which should be followed by nothing.

Peace,
Ed

These sorts of demonstrations, parades, etc., were common for the first 40 years of homosexual activism. When it became clear that these were causing problems at election time, they began to work to present a sort of suburban American middle-class image, which has been one source of their political successes in the US, at least, for the past decade, along with ham-handed responses from certain public or political figures.

I think they are doing it for shock value. But how can anything shock men who have heard confessions for 100s of hours?

I don’t either, but then again I have never really looked. Somethings are so ridiculous that it is better to just let them have their 15mins and move on rather than continuing to bring attention to them.

It may be a leap to presume that such persons actually gave some rational thought to their actions in advance. It may be just an adolescent reaction for attention or possibly even a mental disorder.

This is kind of my point. Why bring more attention to these fools by condemning them or speaking against them. Realize that they are ridiculous, that most of the world is going to think they are ridiculous and let them go away.

When did we start to think that every group has to speak out against everything that someone else does that they do not like? Does every Christian church need to make a public statement that the KKK and the Westboro Baptists are wrong, or can most rational people just understand that?

But these kind of “gay” activist protests do make the news. And instead of denouncement of these kind of protests from other “gay” activists the mainstream media takes their side against the Catholic Church. On the other hand, when Westboro Baptists make the news, the tone of the news article is clearly condemning of the WBC protest. And there is a lot of public denouncement of the WBC by a lot of various groups. Between WBC and these kind of “gay” activist protests, which are just as loud, extreme, and even more lewd than WBC protests, only the WBC get any public denouncement from other “gay” activists or by the mainstream news media who report on it. Why? 🙂

I see the WBC and “gay” activist groups as being inversely equal extremes.

Atheist ought to kick the church as hard as they can! This is the only way they will discover their folly. This is what I did when I was an Atheist, and now I’m a devout Catholic!
