I’d turned huge volumes of pages on the discernment, whom to choose. One of the precious advice to my agreement was ‘a person who has psychological, emotional and spiritual maturity’ As I reflect this one sentence, I realise that it encapsulates many of the things that are to be considered important.
Moreover, that girl would also be someone who is not an average Catholic but accepts all the Church’s teachings, especially on contraception. Disagreement on this, I’m sure, can wreck the marriage.
This has grown inside me to levels of fear and anxiety … the fear of ending up with the wrong half.

A expanded definition of what I mean by “centered on God”.
A good catholic woman to me follows the church teaching to the core even if she does not understand them. She faithful accepts them or at least tries to.
In all honesty what I look for is someone for God’s children, for my own needs are very few. It others words she is already doing those motherly things without her having real children.
We are talking about spiritual children. She would be very active in the church, prayer, or in charity. Doing those things is a good way to have tons of adopted spiritual children and real commitment to them. Women who do this are signaling their readiness and openness to having children of their own. Those women once you get to know them are truly beautiful inside. It shows their maturity for having God’s children. That Beauty is so attractive to a man because it just begs “give me children so I can serve the Lord better”.
Sadly among supposed good catholic women out there when I ask them about ministry I usually get very blank stares. They rather talk about traveling or places they have gone to. I am thinking to myself what life is there outside the church.
I know this from experience, I knew a young woman who did all those things. At first I thought she was a little weird, not the prettiest, and bit too secularized but after getting to know her and grow with her I really saw that Beauty and was super attracted to it. Sadly it did not work out.
I would gladly give everything I have including my life but most especially I would give (God’s) children to a woman like that. That is a real woman. The rest are still just girls growing up and not ready.
Women, show the commitment and Love and the guys will come from all around.
Men have to the same but fatherly acts.
