For some reason I always get stuck on the mysteries of the Rosary. What do I do during the mysteries of the Rosary?

That’s a very “Jesuit” approach, imagining you are in the scene somehow.

You can picture the scene, or you can get on the web or in booklet form a Scriptural Rosary where there’s one verse or one little part of the scene per Hail Mary so you think about it in little bits.

You can also adapt an Eastern Christian way of praying the Rosary.

Simply read a Scripture for the Mystery and intently recite the prayers, not imagining anything in particular aside from the words of the prayers and the present moment and Gods Presence in and around you - maybe focus on a Holy Icon while reciting the prayers from the heart. That’s how I pray the Rosary.

I immagine the scene, the emotions and thoughts Jesus must have experienced, for example when I meditate the Sorrowful Mysteries I think of the pain and suffering Jesus experienced and I also try to imagine what Mary went through seeing her son suffer and die. When I pray the Hail Mary I also think of my requests: for example if i ask the healing of my ill friend I’ll think of it while praying.
