What do I do with Protestant bibles and reading materials that we receive as gifts?

I’ve received a number of books, including the Bible, written by Protestants. They were given by well-meaning relatives and friends, some of whom are Catholic as well. I don’t want to read nor keep them, but I feel hesitant to just throw them away. Is it ok to donate them or give them away to other Protestant friends?

Yes, if you don’t want to keep it, then I say donate it.

However, I see no harm in keeping it. Just keep in mind the translations come with with their particular bias. For example, NASB- Calvinist slant.

Thanks! We already have a Catholic Bible and I didn’t want to leave room for confusion in my children if they happen to read these non-Catholic materials.

As long as they are not blatantly anti-Catholic you may find value in reading them.
