what do i say to someone who says:

the catholic church (vatican) is in the un, thats ridiculous

or

the pope hosts other religions such as wicca

or

the pop acknowledges ufos exist

UFOs are demonic presences…cherubim demons. I learned this from an exorcist priest.

The Pope is polite to those who practice Wicca, but does not endorse it in any way, shape or form. Love the sinner, not the sin, so to speak.

The catholic church is at odds with the UN…The people in charge of the UN are anti-catholic. They are essentially enemies of the Church.

That’s false information, propagated by alien-infatuated types. I would by far believe the exorcist priest prior to those who are the alien-fanatics.

Unless you are a sedevacantist (in which case I congratulate you), then you are surely aware that the papacy has endorsed and praised the UN on numerous occasions.

John Paul II, Address to the UN:
The Holy See, in virtue of its specifically spiritual mission, which makes it concerned for the integral good of every human being, has supported the ideals and goals of the United Nations Organization from the very beginning.
Fifty years after its founding, the need for such an Organization is even more obvious, but we also have a better understanding, on the basis of experience, that the effectiveness of this great instrument for harmonizing and coordinating international life depends on the international culture and ethic which it supports and expresses.
In that same address, John Paul II called the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was the work of the UN, “one of the highest expressions of the human conscience of our time.”

Benedict XVI, Address to the UN:
My presence at this Assembly is a sign of esteem for the United Nations, and it is intended to express the hope that the Organization will increasingly serve as a sign of unity between States and an instrument of service to the entire human family. It also demonstrates the willingness of the Catholic Church to offer her proper contribution to building international relations in a way that allows every person and every people to feel they can make a difference.
The Church is happy to be associated with the activity of this distinguished Organization, charged with the responsibility of promoting peace and good will throughout the earth. … I promise you the support of my prayers as you pursue your noble task.
These are pretty kind and supportive words for an alleged assembly of “anti-Catholics” who are “at odds” with the Church. The fact of the matter is, the Vatican II popes have subjugated the role of the Church to being but one voice among many (a merely participatory role), rather than the singular voice of the Truth: omnia instuarare in Christo.

Exorcists are not infallible nor are they united on this issue. The Vatican exorcist Monsignor Corrado Balducci (recently deceased) was a huge, outspoken supporter for the idea that UFOs are not demonic but are products of real physical extraterrestrial creatures.

Also, the official Vatican astronomer, Brother Guy Consolmagno, has said numerous times that aliens very likely exist.

Furthermore, Origen, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, and Bonaventure all thought there might be “life on other stars.”

It’s quite a myth that the Church has ever condemned the idea of extraterrestrials. This is not to say, however, that some apparent UFO phenomenon might be demonic illusions, or that some aliens might even be in cahoots with demons, but to condemn the existence of all aliens entirely is a bit absurd.

If you want to read an article regarding Balducci and Consolmagno, here’s one:

Um…what is an ‘un’?
On your inquiry, correct the person. The Church believes in ecumenism; that is, the drawing out and identification of common matters of belief among all religions. That is quite different than ‘hosting’ other religions, which the pope does not do.
Does the pope acknowledge UFOs? I’ve never heard that. But I do know that the Vatican (not just the Vatican but prominent theologians) have raised the possibility that life may exist elsewhere in the universe, which is quite different than believing in UFOs.

As to UFO’s and Wicca and whatnot, I have no idea, but the Vatican does have official ties to the UN. The Holy See has a “permanent observer” installed there. Right now, it is Archbishop Celestino Migliore. He can and does make statements and recommendations on resolutions and other UN business. The Vatican has no voting power as far as I know (and probably doesn’t want it), but they get heard from regularly. You can learn more here:
