I’m facing a dilemma this Christmas. My “brother” is coming over to our house for Christmas. We’ve not seen “him” for three years now. He was very good with our kids when we saw him last. (They were 3 and 5 then, now they are 6 and 8) but that was when he was still a “he.”
You see, he underwent a sex change surgery and hormones and all that during those three years. Now he is a “she.” So, my brother now wants the kids to call him aunt and stuff…
I feel they are too young to be exposes to this kind of thing, and I’d rather introduce them to gender confusion and all that later. Also I’d feel really awkward around my new “sister” just addressing him/her as such. What should I do?
I guess one of the problems is just how our family is heavily involved with the church, and my brother is sort of a black sheep. I don’t know what to do. Can you all help me please?
God bless and keep you safe during the holidays.
