What do muslims say on the banning of veil by Syria?

This news story here clearly states that it was the headscarf that was banned, along with the cross and the yarmulke (jewish skull cap). However, it clearly states that the aim was for removing the Muslim headscarves from french schools.

They are not banning the niqab or burqah, they are banning the headscarves. So yes, this can be comparable to nuns. This should not be allowed. Where is the freedom that was once in this world?

this can be comparable to nuns. This should not be allowed.

The answer for your question is in the Bible, read it carefully and you would realize why France and other secular countries have done that:

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

I understand this news article has nothing, directly, to do with the issue at hand. However, if you see who is in the government power, and who placed them there, then you can may somehow understand if a country like this produces laws such as banning the hijab. There is lots of political issues revolving this.

However, it does not take a woman to be a nun to sacrifice herself for the sake of God. She may do this in her daily life, her daily practices. When people propose celibacy and segregation as a way of life to become close to God, their natural desires often, not always, but often lead them astray even further from God. You can see this with the many counts of child molestation done by members of the church. This too is not the issue at hand though.

A woman can be close to God, by following the commandments and observing daily prayers. I know the holiness the nuns are trying to achieve, but I see it daily as the Muslim woman achieves it by being herself.

Unfortunately, although I believe in the Bible, and know it to contain many truths. I fail to accept the letters that were sent by paul and others as scripture. Islam tells me to believe in the Gospels, and that is what I shall believe in. However, even the letters contain many truths and realities which I do accept, but I do not believe for them to be revelation from God.

No still you cannot compare that to the life of the nun where she forsake everything including marriage, children, and sex for the sake of GOD.

Even if you discard the NT, you still have no reference for Muhammed prophecy in the OT, on the contrary, you would find a very important evidence that Muhammed cannot be a prophet because he was a descendant of Ishmael and GOD covenant was with ISAAC not with ISHMAEL per (Genesis 17:21):
“Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, "Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety? And Abraham said to God, "If only Ishmael might live under your blessing! Then God said, "Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year. When he had finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him.”

1. We as Muslims believe that he was prophecized in the Bible, and have shown the few places where we believe, is the remnants of the prophecy. But after the many changes in the bible, and confusion even amongst the many denominations of christianity about the true words of the bible, how can you thus blame us for not showing where the prophecy is.
2. Even the old testament has many changes and the Jewish torah, where the old testament is originally derived from differ.
3. As to matters that deal with Isaac, Islam differs in this greatly. However, this is a whole different issue. Still, this does not show that Muhammad cannot be a prophet. Abraham had many other children, but God only said about Ishmael that he will be the father of a Great nation. God doesn’t use the word Great when he’s speaking about the nation belonging to Isaac.
