“60,000 books have been written against Islam between 1800 and 1950.” Edward Said
The Time magazine has reported that about 60,000 books have been written in an attempt to discredit Islam over the past 150 years.
I wonder who’s been brain washed.

you have just proven my point.

kristyn:
He was a warlord. He preyed on people’s ignorance and fear. I will continue to pray for all Muslims who are fooled, and brainwashed. Islam is a ‘’'religion" of simplicity, because people couldn’t handle the complexity and beauty of the True Catholic Faith, so Mohammad came along, like all the heresies and offered an easy 'Faith", but one that resulted in murder to spread it’s word. Wake up!!
God is not a God of confusion. Islam says worship ONE God and submit to HIM only. What problem do you have with that?

Islam is not an “easy” faith. It is one that requires discipline and struggle. But it is not a confusing faith. There is a difference.

It appeals to the innate feeling God put inside of us…to worship Him and none other. That is why people turn away from the “beautiful mysteries” of Chrsitianity and submit to the clear message of ONE God. The same message taught by all prophets and polluted by the men that followed them.

Again, i encourage you to scrutinize the sources of which you recieve your information about Islam.

(St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theol., I, q. 39, a. 6. For translation see here).

(St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theol., II-II, q. 2, a. 8. For translation see here).

Thank You for the Summa.
We all should read it. We should read the writings of JP II also.

The Summa of St. Thomas is fundamental for to be catholic.
About Jesus for salvation:
“… without faith it is impossible to please him …” (Heb 11: 6)

“… the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. … through the forbearance of God - to prove his righteousness in the present time, that he might be righteous and justify the one who has faith in Jesus” (Rm 3: 22; 26)

“… (yet) who know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified” (Gal 2: 16)

“… There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved” (Act 4: 12)

Christians may have trouble recognizing the Muslim Jesus featured in the Koran. He bears little resemblance to the loving Jesus of the Gospels who Christians have come to know and love. For starters, he is, of course, not the Son of God, but only a prophet (Sura 5: 17 & 116). In the Koran when confronted by Allah over the confusion prevalent among Christians over his divine status, Jesus obsequiously denies ever making such an outrageous claim (Sura 5: 117). And the Jesus of the Koran and Sunnah acts in a very non-Jesus-like fashion: cursing the Jews (Sura 5: 80); bearing witness against the Christians and Jews on the Last Day (Sura 4: 159); and joining in the fight against the Dajjal or Anti-Christ on the last day when the Muslims slay all the remaining Jews and Christians (Sahih Muslim Book 41). Another doctrinal difference is that the Muslims don’t believe that Jesus was real¬ly crucified and died on the cross. They believe it only appeared that way to his disciples and to the Jews who falsely claimed to Mary that they had put Jesus to death. Instead what actually happened was that Allah, lifted Jesus up to heav¬en and substituted another who happened to look the same (Sura 4: 157-158). This provides a turn on the usual Good Friday story of how Jesus loved mankind so much that he was willing to die for our sins.

The Koran also has a different view of the Christian concept of the Trinity. Mohammed apparently believed that the Trinity was God the Father, Jesus and Mary (Sura 5:116).
