What do people want to see in Blogs?

I read an article, I think on Catholicexchange, recommending that if so inclined more Catholics should have blogs.
So I have one, which I write in about once every few months, but it’s really hard to figure out what to write about, My last post was about Brittany’s and Robin’s suicides, because I was touched by the situations.
But I really don’t know where to go with my blog. I don’t want to make it all about my books, because I want them to speak for themselves.
I don’t want to make it about the writing process because there are many other better blogs about that,
I don’t want to make it about politics because ditto,
I don’t really want it to be about religion because I don’t want to push non-Catholics away from my books, which try to be subtle.
Any suggestions about what people want to read in blogs?

Write from the heart about something relevant…personal or cultural or political or religious.

I think it is that simple.

It sounds like you may need to think of a theme for your blog. That should help.

Do you read blogs yourself? If so, what do you like reading about? Or ask yourself, what topic excites you to write about? Then with about that. I’d worry less about what people want to read and worry more about what you want to write, especially if you aren’t trying to make a living from blogging.
