What do progressive Baptists believe and why?

My son has left the Church and now follows a progressive Baptist church. He seems to be following the teachings of Adam Hamilton. Does anyone know anything about him?

Do you mean Adam Hamilton, the liberal United Methodist minister?

Seems to be typical of the progressive sides of the United Methodists.
There are progressive Baptist congregations, but this is not one.
