What Do Protestants Believe About the Early Church?

Many Protestants still believe Constantine founded the Catholic church. (Ask them yourself if you don’t believe me.) However, that’s still a taboo topic among apologists, and so it never really gets discussed. Therefore, Protestants continue to believe that Constantine founded the Catholic church: I have encountered this belief at many “non-denominational” churches.

I don’t know if its many or not. Lutherans believe Christ founded the One True Church, of which those in communion with the Bishop of Rome are a huge and significant part.
