What do Sacraments, Prayer, Devotion, Bible, Church have in common?

They all lead us to Christ.

I just thought this might be relevant. As some might think the Sacraments are a waste of time. Some might think Bible study, prayer or devotion is a waste of time. The truth is they help us get closer to Christ and there is nothing wrong with that.

I completely agree with you. We should do all of those. Yes, the protestants have sacraments also we just dont call them that. I take that back I have heard my minister refer to baptism and marriage as sacraments. None of it is a waste of time.

The only pit fall of any of it is if you think that by doing any of this you will be saved. These are things we need to do to become closer to Christ and to understand who God is.

Yes. These are blessing from God that can save us. For example a person might read the bible and than turn to Chirst.

Yes of course. What I meant is that the action itself will lead to salvation. For example–if I read the bible that means I will be saved.Or by following all the sacrements means Im saved. That type of thinking. Of course doing any of these things will lead you to the truth hopefully. Well I should say God actually leads us to the truth but you know what I mean.
