What do these numbers mean in the missalette?

My church uses those paperback “Breaking Bread” missalettes. I’ve noticed something when looking up the daily readings I am curious about. For example, a mass will look like:

JUNE 1 - Thursday
St. Justin, martyr (Memorial)
(300) Reading I: etc.

What does the “(300)” signify? I’ve noticed these numbers sometimes in the psalms as well.

I think it is referring to the reading number in the Lectionary; I’m not sure why they include it.
 
Yup, that’s the lectionary number. It might be included to make it easier to look up the readings in other books.
