What do these words from the creeds mean?

The Apostolic and Nicean Creeds give us descriptions of the church that we are called to be members of. What do these descriptions mean to each of you?

What does it mean to be Holy?

What does it mean to be catholic?

What does it mean to be a Church?

If we use the Nicean Creed, which any non-heretical Christian would accept, we get more questions.

What does it mean to be Apostolic?

What does it mean to be One?

opposite of unclean 1 Corinthians 7:14

catholic-Not in scripture. Term used to describe the unity of the early church. Many denominations use the word now. Common part of a denominations or churches name.

church-something the gates of hell cannot prevail against Matt 16:18, local assembly that can handle discipline issues-Matt 18:17,
If you are saved, you are part of church

Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Is the pillar and ground of truth-church is also called the house of God, the church of the Living God

1Ti 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
