What do we call someone who has visions?

I read somewhere, that there is (perhaps a Catholic) name for those who have visions. I’ve been searching for the thread I found it in, and I’m not remembering the word. For some reason I want to say “suk” or something.

I’m not talking about soothsayers here, it’s a different word for someone that is given real visions, perhaps even of the future (and without asking).

In the Catholic tradition, they are called “visionaries” or “seers.”
