What do we do about a homosexual godfather?

Greetings! I am hoping you can help me. My brother and his wife are having their baby baptised in a Catholic church. The godmother is a practicing Catholic and they have asked a gay couple to be the godfathers. I suspect that the church doesn’t know they are gay since the arrangements are made. Could a priest know this and allow it? Also, as Catholics, my husband and I are not sure if it would be proper for us to attend the ceremony. My brother will probably be upset with us if we do not attend. What do you recommend we do?
