Catholics believe that a political Damien named as the antichrist will rule for a period of years, before the actual rapture comes, and the ones lef behind during the rapture are the saved elect souls, while the non elect are bundled together as chaff[as is described in the parable of wheat and tares], and thrown into the fire, thereby beginning a thousand year rule of peace with all the saved people here on earth. During Judgment day, The LORD will come and gather to Himself all of the elect saved, [two men in a field, one is taken, and one is left behind] the taken one would be elect, and this person would ascend towards heaven with the rest of the believers in the world. the one left behind will literally and actually see this happen right before there eyes. The dead will rise first, and the living will follow the dead up into the heaven. The elect saved people will receieve their new resurected body, to complete their salvation, to be together with forever our resurected soul. The elect will be gathered up[the term used in the bible to mean rapture] and will ascend into heaven. The ones left behind will suffer Judgment [to] the end of time. The ones left behind will suffer the horror of seeing all the signs of Christ’s return, of seeing their brothers being taken away, and them being left behind. The world will be in turmoil and pain for a 5 months. This is the figure given, 150 days of Judgment following the Return of Christ. After 150 days of Judgment, the figure given in Revelation is that both death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire, which is the 2nd death. the final ultimate death. And after this 150 day period. All will be wiped out in a blink of an eye, with a single command of the LORD, and a new heaven and new earth will be made. One without sin. As death is the punishment for sin, and seeing how death and hell will be thrown into the lake of fire, even sin, death, and hell which is simply the grave, will no longer be in existence.
