What do we tell those who refer to God as She?

Blessings,
I am a teacher at a Cathoic High school. I teach morality to Juniors. Some years ago a feminist religion teacher presented God as “she.” One of the math teachers has picked this up and on occasion makes this statement to the students. I know that some time in the near fuitere I will confront this issue with him. I will tell him that technically God is non-sexual, He is neither male or female. In the Old Testament it hints at God being addressed as “Father.” In the Gospels Jesus addresses God as “Father” and even the prayer Jesus taught us starts, “Our Father in heaven,” (Matt 6:9); and “Father, hallowed be your name,” (Luke 11:2). Since God builds the supernatural on the natureal, God revealed Himself as a male since males have traditionally been the head of the household and the transmitter of life (to females). I believe this is the reason why God depicts Himself as male. Also, Jesus gives the image of God (Jesus) as the husband and the Church as the bride. Again God is depicted as a male. Is there any other source that can be used to show the reasonableness of depicting God as Father?

Hi,

If Jesus has taught us to refer to God as Father, then the case is closed!
