I believe:

He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

God bless you

If you’re looking for a minutely worked-out scenario that dispensationalists love to indulge in, you’re wasting your time.

Remember that the Bible experts of 2000 years ago had it worked out according to their reading of the Scriptures what the Messiah would do when he came. He came, and He didn’t follow their agenda, and so they rejected Him.

Let this be a warning to their modern equivalents.

Every Christian had better believe this…

“So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the desert,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:26-27)

…or they might just end up worshiping the wrong guy. 😉

Well, it is Written that He will come on a White horse. Upon mount Olive . It will split and He will walk through the Eastern gate of Jerusalem. And take up the throne of King David.
Every knee shall bow and every voice will say “Jesus is Lord”. And Lucifer will be thrown in the Bottomless pit for a thousand years.

Yep, sounds like He will Come Again in Glory to judge the living and the dead. And His kingdom shall have no end.

I’ll be judged according to His will. The End. 🙂

all good responses, but I will wait a little while before i give you what also the bible says will happen

ok, one good answer can be found in 1Thes 4:14-18

comments welcomed:)

the bible states in 1 thes 4:14-18 that

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

I invite anyone to let me know what they believe Paul is saying about Jesus’s return. especially in verse 17.

thank you 🙂

This is what gets me about christianity. No clear idea on such a huge issue. But lengthy ideas about so many other trivial ideas, that it really stops me from being a christian.

It actually wasn’t all that important. Even Christ said that only the Father knew when the Day of Judgment would come (Matt 24:36). The important instruction to Christians is to live each day as if it is your last, because the day will come “like a thief in the night” (2 Peter 3:10). To Jesus, it wasn’t a huge issue. The only people who ever made it a huge issue were heretics (like the Jehovah’s Witnesses - remember how the end times were supposed to happen in the 1970’s?) or modern-day sensationalists like John Hagee, Jack Van Impe and others who teach the rapture nonsense.

Christ did not make a big deal about a lot of things catholics do, but we are human so I guess we make a big deal out of things.

For instance, the creed is important but no one can say Christ commanded it.

However, I think it is useful and I am sure you do also.

There’s evidence of early versions of the Creed in the writings of early Fathers like Saint Irenaeus. No, Christ didn’t literally command it word for word, but the apostles handed down “traditions…by word or our epistle” (2 Thess 2:15) to the Church, which the Fathers preserved. The Creed is a representation of what all those beliefs together represent 🙂

Interestingly enough, few Church Fathers ever bothered with Revelation. It wasn’t until the past 200 years that such extensive study on Revelation and the end times has sprung up.

I don’t disagree with the Bible, but I do disagree with “Rapture” theology if that’s what you’re getting at.

I think Thor might justt finally get the duel with Jesus that the Thunderer has been wanting for so long.

For those not in the know Thor challenged Jesus to a duel during the conversion era, according to the stories Jesus always ran away and Thor chased all over Northern Europe or so the story goes.

Everyone, everyone in heaven and in hell and on earth, everyone in purgatory will drop to their knees and will proclaim that he is Lord! Then everyone’s proverbial socks will be knocked off for all eternity, whether in heaven to our joy or in hell to our horror, we will all be blown away by the unimaginable, unfathomable, almighty, incomparable Lord of all. Forever and ever, amen!
