I work every third weekend and have to go to the earliest Mass if I’m going to make it at all. Today, I slept too late and missed Mass.
I’m going to Confession as soon as I can, but my question is does anyone here do anything extra when they miss Mass (for any reason)? Do you spend extra time in prayer, or just call it a loss, go to Confession and move on?
I am definitely going to read through and contemplate today’s readings, say the Rosary and the Our Father and an Act of Contrition. This is in no way to try to mitigate the sin of missing Mass or replace Confession, it’s just something I feel I should do.
