What do you do in your "free" time?

I like to go to craft stores and walk around. It gives me a lot of great ideas.

Since your budget is tight try doing some thrift store shopping. It is very easy to spend a few hours digging through looking for good finds. I have walked out with a new wardrobe while spending less than what one of the items would have cost if I bought it new. Thrift stores can be a fun place to get lost in and you probably won’t blow your budget in the process.

Antique stores are fun too!
 
I second (or third:confused:) going to the library. I was recently there after not being there for a very long time. It’s free, it’s away from home and it is full of knowledge! No calories either!

I like to sit there and read all the magazines I don’t want to buy and copy out recipes or decorating or craft things. The time goes quickly for me and I get lots of ideas and inspirations while there. Then, If you get a pile of books to go home, and you are set until the next visit, next month.

Yeah, I’m pretty much low maintenance. 😉
 
Lately, I have been spending a bunch of time at Church, on the way home from work. or when my wife was gone with the kids last weekend. I have enjoyed it more than I realized I would.

During the winter, I spend all my free time hunting ducks. 😃 Probably not what you were looking for…haha…
 
Oh gosh, what an awesome opportunity! I have SO MUCH I’d love to do, but I never have the time for hobbies. 😦

My interests (none of which I currently do, :rolleyes:):
Exercising… running, biking, swimming, going to the gym
Reading…
Art, of some sort… painting, moasics, etc…
Learn to sew, knit, crochet… maybe make some curtains and pillows for the house…
Photography…
Cooking/baking…

Dang… I really just want to be a housewife… or a grandma, LOL!
 
Thank you everyone for your ideas! I told my husband that I had asked on here so I could get more ideas for my “day off”. He was so happy that I was really giving it thought and trying to plan a day for myself. I’m a lucky girl!:love:
