Durn it. I must have missed that. To save me looking it up, can you precis the discovery of what caused the big bang?

I would say more unsavory.

I’ve yet to find an atheist who before long, begins to show contempt and outright disgust at Catholicism.

“Yet to find” is the operative phrase here.

I agree, they are rare on the ‘atheosphere’.
But there are several very well-mannered, intelligent atheists here at CAF - and right here in this thread.

Note that complaining about ‘rude’ atheists isn’t saying much. They don’t have to “play nice”.
Their unsavory disposition is irrelevant to the matter being debated.
Atheists aren’t under any biblical invocation to adhere to any standard of gentleness and graceful expression. (1st Peter 3:15)

But if a biblical theist is (rightly) accused by their atheist opponent of similar rudeness, then THAT would justifiably deserve criticism.

It is true that “faith comes from hearing.” So speak the truth clearly, in charity. But we are not called to argue with someone about issues of faith, especially on impersonal internet forums. Who has that ever converted? Rather, after speaking the truth, we are told to “shake the dust from our feet” and walk away. I think this is very good advice, and straight from Jesus’ mouth.

On countless atheist forums (fora) I have been called out for not keeping my ‘inner Boanerges’ under control.

They say…“oh Lion IRC, how un-Christian of you”.

And I’m like…but isnt that what you guys want?
