‘The Catholic Church rejects nothing which is true and good in other religions - but many practices are incompatible with Catholic faith and morals. Sometimes the factors which make a ‘New Age’ practice incompatible with Catholicism are obvious, but often the problematic elements are very subtle. In these writings, I am attempting to discern the warning signs which show when a New Age practice cannot be reconciled with Christianity; and therefore, where every Catholic who seeks to honour the triune God alone, must draw the line.’

Here are some facts I collected in-person.

We had a Director of Religious Education (DRE) at our parish for 8 years. This “nun” was into dream catchers, and more. She would commonly conduct spiritual exercises with the catechists chanting allegiance to the hindu god of shiva (no kidding).

In a religious education board meeting she emphatically denounced JP-II and Pope Benedict XVI. She stated we should not read anything from these two.

I would go on but you get the picture. Here is the diagnosis. Once someone commits serious sin against the faith, they no longer have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them. They quickly become blind to truth, usually through pride.

We suffered at our parish for many years with serious problems due to our DRE and our “priest.” The entire parish is decimated and crippled at this time.

If you are anywhere close to new age religion, and still have the sense to detect the heresy, get away fast. Consider yourself near a pit of quicksand. If you make it out, you will be lucky.
