What Do You Find Attractive About Charismatic Worship?

I used to like Charismatic events, a long time ago. I liked them for all the wrong reasons though. I used to seek an emotional high of sorts at those events, and wanted to “feel” the Spirit with my emotions. I also was always curious what people experienced when they fell after being prayed over, though I never experienced anything (sometimes the person praying over me would slightly push me as if I were expected to fall). Then I started attending the TLM and over time became uncomfortable at charismatic events so stopped going.

As a Charasmatic Catholic, I like both the sence of quiet, and reverence of God when attending mass. We need to have that most definitely. The other side of the same coin is celebrating Jesus Christ, and his victory on the cross.

Any sports fans here?? When your team scores a run, or does a touchdown, or goaaaaal, do you just sit there silently? No, you jump up, clap, scream, etc… in excitement.

Our Jesus won the victory over Satan with his death and resurrection. Are we not joyful over this and want to praise God?

Well, when one receives the fullness of the Holy Spirit, it stirs you up inside that you cannot contain yourself in the things of God. The Spirit brings life literally to our souls and you want to praise him and thank him every day. That is what the Spirit filled life of a charasmatic does.

It’s pretty attractive. Though as a young person, I prefer TLM.
