To say that Obama is Antichrist is to give him entirely too much spiritual significance.

He doesn’t even have enough spiritual oomph.

And his predecessor George Bush, Sr, who was elected by evangelical vote, talked about the NWO all the time.
 
I do not think he is the Antichrist, I was wondering more about the content of the NWO stuff and it’s significance.

I used to be into Nostradamus (scrolled on the video) and even had both a complete set of his Quatrains and 3 or 4 “Commentaries” from “Nostradamians”. About 2 years ago, I realized that I needed to throw all of that garbage out. You see, Nostradamus missed predictions, and he used astrology and chrystal balls - Both forbidden under Biblical Law:
There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORD your God is driving them out before you. There’s no choice on this issue for us. We can’t indulge or allow ourselves to do it vicariously - This is something our society does, but we really shouldn’t participate in it.

As a lot of these Websites are based on stuff such as this, I think it’s probably best for us to avoid them…

That doesn’t mean that our country may not be in a lot of trouble. We’re aborting 1/4 of the babies who are being conceived, and we’ve almost completely destroyed the African-American Community through Abortion and other things which I can’t talk about here… and, We shut up our elderly in “Convalescent Hospitals” and never visit them - Is that honoring our Fathr and mother???

I could go on, but I need to go to sleep.

We know what to do - If God is judging our country, Repent and Pray for the people in our country to repent! If God isn’t judging our country, Thank Him for warning us, and Repent and pray for the people in our country to repent…

The Lord told us to be awake and be watchful. I’m sure that by ‘be watchful’ he didn’t mean watch conspiracy videos.

I’m fed up of all this end times stuff in protestant circles. Why plan next weeks prayer meeting? Jesus will probably be back by then. :rolleyes:

Eventualy it always ends up having something to do with the Roman Catholic Church, The Jews or the UN. :rolleyes:

I find it sad that some people react like Pavlov’s dogs whenever they see words such as these:​

Since the recession is global, means to correct it cannot be the work of a single country. Some people seem to have difficulty appreciating that what the US does, affects countries outside the US. There are such things as countries outside the US. 😃 Anything international & co-operative is malign by definition for some Christians - I blame the notes of the Scofield Bible; which is almost the main foundation document for Premillinnial Dispensationalism. (PD has a lot to answer for - but don’t get me started on that.)

As the study of the Fourth Eclogue of Vergil is not widespread among Fundamentalists (& adherents of Scofieldism are “Fundamentalists’ Fundamentalists”), these lines are not well known to them:

This is a, or the, source in Latin literature of the notion of the New World Order - there is something very like it in the Bible: apocalyptic (and the NT is crammed with apocalyptic assumptions & imagery) is all about the destruction of the old age & the entrance of the new, which is what the Kingdom of God is. Jesus was a preacher of the New Age - but not of the New Age as familiar from popular culture. That poem of Vergil’s is what gained him the reputation of being “the prophet Maro”; & he was reflecting a mood, not only of relief that the suicidal violence which plagued Rome between 91 & 31 BC was over at last, but also of confidence that a new age of peace & prosperity was coming.

Line 2 = the renewal of the Platonic Great Year of 36,000 years
Line 3 = the Virgin: the constellation Virgo;
the Saturnian kingdoms: a reference to the belief in a golden age of peace when Saturn (= Greek Cronos) had reigned in Italy

There is also evidence for a belief in a succession of kingdoms like that mentioned in Daniel. Ovid tells of them, each inferior to the preceding; & Ovid was a generation younger than Vergil.

Just as well that verse isn’t well known to them because Virgil also wrote about Remus and Romulus founding Rome. This would lead them by a twisted logic to claim The Pope is the antichrist.
