The average V2 liberal (meaning the Catholic who doesn’t understand V2) certainly can’t fit it into his/her world view. (Part of the foundation of their belief system is that anyone who criticizes a new but now-common practice in the Church or clergy - even when that practice was condemned by popes, allowed only via disobedience resulting in an eventual indult, etc. - is ‘against the Church’. Of course, even most of them know that doesn’t make sense.)
