What do you think about Malachi Martin?

He was laicized?

My question was going to be what the Church thought of him. Anything since this action?

Also, I believe that Pope Paul VI’s personal secretary recently clarified the pontiff’s remark about the “smoke of satan” referring to liturgical abuses of the time, not any “enthronement.”

MALACHI MARTIN IS AN EXPOSED DOUBLE AGENT. MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE FOLLOWED HIM HAVE LEFT THE CHURCH AND SOME ARE YEARNING FOR THE NEXT GREAT “PROPHET” LIKE MALACHI MARTIN. HE WAS A GREAT STORY TELLER AND DECEIVED SOME TO DAMNATION.

IF YOU LIKE PROPHECY, READ WHAT OUR LADY SAID AT FATIMA, LA SALETTE AND OTHER CHURCH-APPROVED APPARITIONS.

My provided La Salette link should be held in suspect, as should many other top google searches. Here is a better one: Link

No, he’s not. That BS was all made up. Fake and altered documents and everything else. When this garbage was first posted to the web it included a supposed archived, typewritten letter. Other people exposed it to be a fake – the typeface used didn’t even exist on typewriters of the time. One of the persons behind this has made a career out of manufacturing conspiracy theories and fabricating other things to support his contention that the Holocaust never happened.

There are fabricated and altered interview transcripts circulating on the web and all manner of other things.

I have no opinion on whether Satanic acts may have been done by some renegades in the Vatican. Regardless of whether any such things happened, it does not mean that Satan has won or that Satan has prevailed.

Satan is a clever and powerful adversary and it would not be beyond him to put his agents into positions of power within the Church. Just because the US is the most powerful country on earth does not mean there are no spies in high government positions.

The Church has gone through tough times before and it has always prevailed. As long as Christ is with us, Satan will always lose. There was a time when there were 2 or 3 popes at the same time, some popes were puppets of rich or powerful leaders, but in spite of all that, the Church has still prevailed. Christ’s Church has survived poor or corrupt leadership, it will continue to survive even some alleged nutcases in its hierarchy.
👍

We know that human beings don’t do well with power, even when their intentions are fully to the good (as they see it) so it’s more likely than not that this kind of thing has happened at one time or another. We need to keep our trust in Him and in those to which He has entrusted our souls. That’s it. We trust Jesus and Our Holy Mother Church. If some people in the Vatican stray, then we pray for them.🤷

There are *real *interviews on youtube where Malachi Martin states (white) witchcraft is not bad, but just harmless naturism. He was a modernist liberal Judas-goat pretending to be a traditionalist. A bunch of sincere people read the scandalous trash - Windswept House, fell for it, and are no longer practicing Catholics because of him.

My advice - stay away.

No, you’re the one who fell for it. You fell for every libelous piece of trash written about him since his death. You made up your mind a long time ago about this person, never thought to question the credibility or accuracy of any of the claims made about him after his death, and now pride and the unwillingness to admit that maybe you were wrong will keep you from changing your mind. Rather than even consider for a moment that you might be wrong, you’ll continue to scour the web looking for any shred of evidence you can find suggesting that he is an evil fraudster so that you can post a message to an online forum and say, “See, I told ya”. If someone told you that in 1978 Martin cut in line in front of her at McDonald’s, that would probably be enough for you to feel internally justified for calling him a “judas-goat.”

You bring up his book “Windswept House” and dismiss it out of hand as though the thought of Satanic infiltration or Masonic subversion of the Church is ridiculous, despite the fact that this has been a recognized and genuine concern of the Church for centuries and corresponds with the content of messages of Akita, La Salette, and the Third Secret of Fatima. It was only four years after Martin published his book that Pope JPII in Fatima on May 13, 2000 stood before the faithful during his homily and declared that the Message of Fatima was a warning to the faithful to have nothing to do with the dragon and its tail, a reference to Apocalypse 12:3-4, a passage usually interpreted to be referring to 1/3 of the Catholic clergy coming under the influence of Satan. And this is exactly what Martin was writing about in much of his book. And then we have Pope Benedict’s Chief Exorcist, Fr. Amorth, who stated recently in an interview with 30 Days Magazine that “demons have installed themselves in the Vatican”, implying that many Cardinals in the Vatican are wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Some people thrive on conspiracy theories and others give them what they want

Martin pandered to the people that liked to make mountains from nothing at all

The last time I heard him I wondered a bit about his sanity, or his soul, both seemed in peril

How much mileage those who are (willfully?) blind to the crisis in the Church get out of those two little words - ‘conspiracy theory’.

Fr. Martin was definitely right about many things, and was hardly the only one saying them - though he was frequently the only one saying them publicly and saying them long before most others.

In my neck of a woods, a priest who was a good friend of a good friend of Malachi’s was murdered. According to the police themselves, the crime has indications of a satanic nature. The murdered priest was about to expose the ring of satanic pedophiles in Chicago. This was around '97. All of this is documented, and by the secular media as well.

I have spoken personally to two people that knew someone well who knew Malachi well, and unfortunately some of the rumors about his personal life were most likely true.

As for his behavior in the 60s, I’m one of the ones who think he was a spy at the Council. I think he had a change of heart. I think the last 30 years of his life bears that out.

But I also think he had to make a living and that he may not have been above a bit of sensationalism.

Not every long string of events and certainly not every person fits perfectly neatly into either a ‘White’ or ‘Black’ bucket, people.

NO one is less reputable to have been hollering fire than the man who enjoyed starting them

I’ve listened to 3 tapes of a Malachi Martin interview (may he RIP) now and again over the years, free on the net here: postpositive.org/?p=68. I just listen to the “Tempters Hour”. It’s astounding how right he’s now becoming. He was a very strong Catholic priest who was annihilated by the lefties so much so that most here think he’s a crackpot. I know where he grew up and the Catholicity of the era and he’s exactly the way they were at the time which was true to The One Holy Catholic Church. Malachi Martin was a militant for Christ and His church.

Does anyone know the answer to these two questions? For most of us, these would settle thei ssue.

What issue? If it was whether he was a saint, I know the answer to that. How much does that have to do with anything he wrote?

I never heard he was laicized. I heard from reliable sources he was released from his vows of obedience by Paul VI but remained a priest.

Thanks for the link. Even thought it was obviously very biased it had enough information to see this man is one I want nothing to do with. I’ll stick with the Catholic Church, thank you.
That is such a ridiculous statement.

So what part drove you away… was it all the work Martin did to expose the child sex abuse scandal where the Church policy was to keep this quiet? Is this what you mean by sticking with the Church in the context of Martin?
