What do you think Jesus would say to Christians when he comes back?

To some Jesus is a socialist who would demand other people’s money in accordance with party politics.

They’d probably have him supporting secular public teacher unions and using politically correct gender pronouns as well.
When the disciples came to Jesus and said the crowd was so large that He should dismiss them and send them into the towns to find food. Jesus’ answer, “you give them something to eat.” Not, you go shake down the wealthy and able and force them to pay for the subsistence of others.

Jesus, while you correctly state, is considered by some to be Socialist in nature, His call was always to individual charity. The responsibility to address a need when seen on a personal level. There are any number of examples of this.

My reaction to the poster’s sentiment that we didn’t promote the government acting in the stead of the individual comes from the Jesus I see in scripture. I have a problem with people who indulge the luxury of their pity and charity with the contents of another’s wallet.

That having been said, I applaud the poster’s sentiment regarding caring for the less fortunate. It is just that our government is based on a constitution that states it should provide the common defense and PROMOTE the general welfare. Not provide it. And yes, if the poster’s sentiment is grounded in a belief that we don’t do enough, I do agree. All of us in this country who are housed, fed, clothed, and have resources to enjoy the non necessities of life, can always do a little more. Call it a sin of omission.

Shalom

I’m at home and I have many.😃
Edit:
Oh now I get it, I like puzzles.
There wont be earth, homes, sea, sky, when Jesus comes back. Just you, me, other CAF members, Jesus and 2 books🙏

Happy Easter!

“Those who wish to follow me, I welcome with my hands”

And “peace to this young warrior without the sound of guns”

Jesus didn’t advocate armed revolution.

“Tupac is dead, but I’m not”

No. He’d ask about being part of the church to spread the gospel, including helping your fellow man. Not whether you helped in the theft of other’s money through the state by party political ideologues.
So you think Jesus would spend some time denigrating social welfare programs?

Jesus wouldn’t be advocating paradise if we could only just tax people a little bit more and let Progressives run the country.

Yes, he would absolutely blast the Progressive political agenda and it’s use of government force to create a secular vision of humanity with all its insanity.

His social welfare advocacy would not be based around force, co-ercion and control of the state.
