What do you think must occur to realistically overturn Roe v Wade?

The Church will probably continue on, but society will go in a different direction.

I’m sure this has been said by a member of society ever day since the beginning of the Church itself. And I’m sure it will continue to be said. Fortunately, the Church is stronger than critics.

QUOTE=Tram Is the Way;5616057]With the exception of prayers and b_i_t_c_h_i _n_g and moaning about the murder of innocents, what are you actively doing today to set the process in motion on overturning Roe vs Wade?

a simple Internet search of pro-life organizations will answer your question.

QUOTE=WillieWonka;5616985]You can expect abortion to follow increased prosperity and more opportunity for women in those regions.

On the contrary, abortion is more common in low income and poor areas.

QUOTE=WillieWonka;5617560]If you wnat to eliminate abortion, then push birth control.

and instead of pushing birth control, why not simply push self control.

WillieWonka: It probably has been said. And it’s true. Look at how the teaching about interest on loans changed from 1745 to today. It’s no big deal. It happens to all organizations.

WillieWonka: You can expect abortion to follow increased prosperity and more opportunity for women in those regions.

HeWillProvide: On the contrary, abortion is more common in low income and poor areas.

WillieWonka: Yes. But it is in low income areas of developed societies. And although more common in those lower income sectors, it is at least common in all sectors of developed societies.

WillieWonka: If you wnat to eliminate abortion, then push birth control.

HeWillProvide: and instead of pushing birth control, why not simply push self control

WilleWonka: They are not mutually exclusive.

All good answers above but they put the horse before the cart.

The hearts and minds of the voting public must change 1st to overturn RoeVWade.
We need to clean up our own Catholic house.
My heart says that if we could reverse 1st Catholic obiedience to mother church, then we have changed the hearts and minds of the pro-abortion voter.
Just imagine if every Catholic showed up for church on Sunday and Holy days and believed in the Holy Eucharist as actual body blood soul & divinity of Christ. We would need to build 70% more churchs and grow the seminary enrollment to match.
Then, all 30,000 plus non-Catholic denominations would want what Catholics have.
Then they would come home - thanks Marcus!!
Now you have all Christians receiving the Eucharist.
At that point, Roe v Wade is history and world peace would be at hand.
Okay, not very realistic, you say. I leave you with this thought. We need to reverse 1st the progressive movements by using the Catholic tools Christ gave us. Evangelism with good Catichesis!
Change the hearts and minds of Catholics who don’t attend Mass and non-denomination Christians to the greatest gift God gave the world, The Holy Eucharist.
Then we can focus on abortion, euthanasia and birth control.

Is there someone else, other than ourselves, controlling what our bodies do?

It is in both low income areas of both developed societies and non “developed” societies - official abortion “doctors” and their “tools” are not necessary for a woman to rid herself of her baby, no matter what her income level.

Well, if those modern doctors and tools are not necessary, and a woman can do her own abortion herself, then who cares if Roe v Wade is reversed? Wouldn’t abortion rates remain the same with or without RvW??

Your objectives are good in themselves, but I do not think we must demand some kind of ideal before we act against abortion on demand. The majority of the American people already favor at least some restrictions on it and the majority at least describe themselves as prolife.

You have to remember that the 2008 elections might well have ended abortion on demand. We are obliged to act in those ways that are open to us to act, and supporting prolife lawmakers and opposing pro-abortion ones is part of that.

Abortion must be made a criminal offense. We may need more jails, but its worth it. When the youth of today in America realizes that they will go to jail if they get pregnant and chose to abort the baby!! :(😦
This is the canpaign American Roman Catholics must protest and lobby our goverment for the first aboution, both parents go to jail for 5 years, for the second abortion both parents go to jail for 10 years, for the third or more abortions both parents go to jail for life!!!
Excommunicating a catholic politician, or not voting for a non-catholic president seems a waste of time. All of our actions should be for jail time for murderers !!!
R/W is a money making procedure for the medical profession, its the money that will keep R/W going, unless our great leaders come up with a plan to prove the murder of innocent babies in America. Before R/W most of the abortions were done outside of the country in health spas. Only the poor and scared or threatened girls got their abortions with the ‘‘coat hanger’’.
Put them in jail, for their own protection and to teach the lessons of santity of life.
You don’t believe me, but this is what must be done to overturn Roe VS Wade in my personal opinion. and it can be done if everyone gets behind the real effort for santity of life and punish the murders of unborn children.:o:o:o:o:o:o
I do it, but praying outside of abortion clinics won’t stop abortions, ever, nor overturn R/W

I think the main reason for Roe VS Wade was the ‘‘coat-hanger’’ abortions done by someone which not only killed the baby but also the mother or at least put her into a hospital with a lot of damage to her body. ;);)😉
Really, most of the wealthy had their abortions in another country;s health spa. They didn’t want to be bother with another child, and if it wasn’t her husbands child, it had to be aborted. Anyway, the wealthy had a inheirtance problem, If they allowed the child to be adopted, some day the child could claim against the estate of the wealthy family.;);););)😉

Sad, how the rich abort just so they don’t have to pay out someday on an ‘illegitimate’ child. People should read the story of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood and a former Catholic. She saw so many Catholic women not wanting another child because they were impoverished, very overworked, and I think in such cases, the husbands weren’t supportive or going through alot in their work. Sanger was into Nazi eugenics and also wanted to see a reduction of inferior classes, primarily other races and the poor.

There are cultures today that are very hard on the pregnant single mother but think nothing of the father doing anything wrong.

The best we can do is live the Gospel and serve the poor, reach out to them, and give them hope in Christ. They are in such need of witness in our profane culture.

What must occur for R v W to be overturned is 5 pro-life justices. For that, we need–needed–a pro-life president.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could have the 5 pro life justices on the Supreme Court.

Right now, the country is imploding with all the hearsay coming out of the present administration…looking more and more like a government with its own agenda, and anyboy who goes against them is being called all sorts of names…heard it on live radio yesterday.

All these troubles are making Americans draw the line and redefine who they are after 40 years of the Free love but hate America agenda of the Far Left…as a priest use the term, the infection is coming to a head…we must see we are dealing with spiritual principalities, and is our country ever swarming with all sorts.

All the more we need to turn to the resources of our faith’s tradition in combatting evil. Speak the truth, love one another, see Christ at the door of all people, no matter how bad…but wise and not helping the enemy either.

May be the Far Left needs to be fully ‘out’, as it is doing. Many who voted them in are now getting scared…we don’t even know how long we can communicate on the internet.

I am working on a program for action, young single adults to develop evangelization of proclamation in conjunction with their pastors…to go into poor, working class neighborhoods, to bring Christ, and to lead and nurture them back to the church doorsteps.

Contact me…

Correct. But to get rid of abortion you need the people.
