Run, run, and run away from that church as fast as you can. If it means breaking up with your boyfriend, let it be. Don’t get cause up with false teachers like this, ministers of satan.

Please go to confession, and the loving arms of Jesus will restore you fully back with him and the Catholic Church.

Matthew 5:30 ►

And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell

I am the skeptical type, so no, I don’t believe in some guy causing gold flakes to fall from above. However, for those who are saying it is an outrageous claim…Let’s remember that what the Catholic Church claims also sounds outrageous to those outside of the the Catholic religion (a man turning bread and wine into Jesus? Every, single Sunday? etc, etc). My point is that everyone is allowed to believe what they believe.

I think the real problem here is that the boyfriend is trying to coerce OP into doing what he wants, to the point that she is being made to feel uncomfortable (and not in a good way). This is a red flag. I agree with others that perhaps a re-evaluation of the relationship is in order.

If he is an alchemist that can create gold, why does he need donations?

If your boyfriend believes in this, I wouldn’t trust his judgement as a in any circumstance. (Especially as a husband or a father)

My parish priest drives what I call a ‘toy car.’ I think most of it would fit in the van.

Maybe THAT is why I am losing weight! Actually, it is just too hot to cook so I just snack on cold foods and sandwiches. No help from the preacher man.

That is true. I have read articles that he uses the trickery of lights to his gold illusion, by dimming the lights in the church, and playing dramatic music to make the people believe something great is happening, then I guess during that time is when the “gold falls” from the ceiling. So, with the lights being dimmed and dramatic music playing people think miracles are happening.

This is true. If I go, which I probaly will have to. I’m not donating to him. I’m not donating to an entertainer who uses “gold” falling from the ceiling to prey on people who are really there looking for miracles. I only donate in the catholic church.

Yes I saw that too, also he claims to whiten peoples teeth while they are there.

Yes your right. He would say those people that made those websites dont believe in God.

This Joshua Mills is simply an entertainer. During the act of “gold falling from the ceiling” there is a dramatic dimming of lights and dramatic music playing causing an illusion and such. During the blessing of the wine and bread there is no such things going on. You simply cannot compare him or his act to the wine turning into blood and the body turning into bread. It doesnt literally do that, its symbolic. We have faith that God is present in both the wine and bread. It’s up to you to believe in that.

This man is not doing his “act” with any sort of reverence in a church setting.

Although I don’t believe that the Episcopalians, Anglicans and Lutherans have clergy that can change the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Our Lord, I can at least have some respect for what they are doing in a reverent setting.

This guy is the equivalent of the magicians who used to run around in the time of Christ and the prophets doing illusions for profit. He is not worth a second thought.

This sort of stuff is a minority among Protestants, but it is obnoxious.

The Catholic Church investigates claimed miracles and or apparitions for many, many years and also investigates those who witnesses or recipients of miracles. Stick with the Churches approach to said miracles.

Agreed. Most Protestants are great people like most Catholics are.

The nature of ministry and the lack of structure within the various Protestant sects, allow unscrupulous people to enter the ministry. They can use their charisma to bilk unsuspecting people out of their money. It is sad, and there isn’t a lot that can be done to fix it. The Preacher does not have a Bishop to report to.

People who think they are doing good are really supporting a lavish lifestyle.

Yes, their is a process for something to be proven a miracle in the catholic church. Thank you
