What do you think of the Long island medium TV show?

Possession is a real thing, though of course not nearly as common as people thought hundreds of years ago.

My family has known a priest who is an exorcist personally for years, and he and other exorcists whose opinions I have read claim that possession and demonic influence are actually far more common than people realize. This friend of ours claims that there is an active demonic element at work in every violent criminal, and urges people to shun all occult related things - he even objected to the TV show “Sabrina” which I had always figured was pretty harmless. He actually blames demons for mental and physical illnesses in some cases; he says that demonically possessed people typically have physical problems as well.

I agree with him that there are many active demonic influences at work in the world today. I have my house blessed yearly, and I notice the difference. I have had demonic influences manifested in the form of regular violent nightmares which stop immediately when the house is blessed.

Demons are real and can cause mayhem in the lives of regular people. I have watched the decent of my sister-in-law from being a practicing Catholic to an actively pro abortion, drug addicted practicing witch, and I would be afraid to stand in the same room with her without my scapular on. At this point, I can only pray for her.

Mediums, palm readers, fortune tellers, Ouija boards, and taro cards are a gateways that devils use to gain access and influence over the lives of ordinary people. Demons are extremely intelligent and profoundly evil and anything that has the potential to give them a foot in the door should be avoided at all costs.

I do believe that what Theresa does is for real. She’s not 100% accurate, but pretty darn close. Do I think her messages come from satan or fallen angels? Its definitely a possibility.

Initially, I was so overjoyed over the concrete evidence that there is an after life, because of this show. I was disappointed to hear from some friends that its likely from satan.

Perhaps I should consider that if it is satan, then there must be a God?

What happens when we die? Our soul goes to heaven and we’re not able to view or be with our loved ones here on earth? Wouldn’t it be second nature to want to look down on our loved ones or do we not have that capacity in heaven?

Everything our Lord has given to us through the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church is available for us!

Satan and his cohorts were around from the beginning of Time. They are aware of factual events in people’s lives; they are observers and they can tell one another…

If trickery is not used to get people’s attentions at these “medium” events, then it can be by the use of a familiar spirit. (demon).

Demons are all too eager to take a person’s focus off of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is 100% my opinion here. People engaging with mediums are really treading on thin ice.

I have heard of cases where people have had contact with lost loved ones… when it happens once I don’t question it, but when I hear of people having repeated contact with people who are no longer walking with us I really start to question who’s behind it all.

I’ll try again. I answered the way I did because we do not need to be assured by mediums that our loved ones are happy. The Lord has all the right answers, and he couldn’t have given us more than what he has given to prove his perfect love for us. We don’t need to seek elsewhere for proof.

There is a God and satan exists because he was created good by the Lord, was given a test, and rebelled. Satan’s choice was to be on his own, pride was his downfall. Satan is on a leash, so to speak, and the Lord allows satan to tempt us so we can use our free will to resist with the grace of the Lord.

The Lord decides what capacity we have after we die and are judged. We don’t have to concern ourselves with details. To be with the Lord is glorious, and if we were offered the universe to leave heaven we would not do so.

When humans rebel and do not obey the Lord, nor repent of their sins, they choose to be without Him, which is hell.
