Hi! This is for a 3rd date with a girl I just started seeing. I’m thinking of taking her to dinner at Antico Forno (Italian place):

anticofornoboston.com/

Then I’ll walk her to this place to get some hot chocolate and dessert (thinking tiramisu):

vittoriacaffe.com/

Then with hot chocolate in hand, I’m gonna take her here to get some chocolate cannolis:

mikespastry.com/

There’s usually a long line at the place, hence the hot chocolate.

She’s told me that she loves chocolate, and she cooks Italian food. Please let me know what you think!

Also, if you’re familiar with Boston (and the North End (Little Italy)), perhaps you can give me some specific advice/recommendations.

Thank you in advance!

See, these are my kind of dates. Even if things don’t work out with the girl, you still get to enjoy lots of great food!! 😃

Sounds like a nice date…but you don’t need to do that much.

The restaurant alone would be great…maybe also the hot chocolate.

BTW…sometimes girls are a little self conscious about eating so much especially around a new guy.

You sound like a nice guy though, putting so much effort into a date! 👍

wow that restaurant looks great! you’ve really done some searching on this.

Ditto! 👍

Girls want to know that you’ve put thought into the date, but too much planning can look controlling. Leave room for some spontaneity…👍

Dang you dominate.
Take notes, Guy… if that tree isn’t down by the time D gets home, this may be your last chance to get off restriction!

And I’m getting my DH to consider this date idea, but the cost of flying from NM to Boston might be prohibitive… 😉

Here’s what I think of it if your date can’t make it, feel free to call me:D
Seriously, that sounds lovely, and I think any woman would appreciate the thoughtful effort you’ve made to show her a good time.

Well, you’ve got it planned, hehe. She will probably appreciate the effort. Try to relax a bit not stress during the date. 😉

Make sure to entrust the date and the girl to God. 🙂

Hmm…maybe in the Italian place you can discuss her favorite meals? She mgiht even venture to cook you one some day.

I like the ideas…I think the restaurant and a walk would be plenty. I think that she might have a stomach ache from all that food! 😛 😃 But, your thoughtfulness will win her over. Happy to see that this is moving in a positive direction for you both! Good luck!

Awww, that’s a great plan! ^^ Here’s one thing, tell her at the beginning what you’re planning. Too many surprises in a row, and she might feel overwhelmed. Other than that, have fun, relax, be yourself! 👍

If it is, as others have suggested, too much for one date you do have a “next” date idea there.

I’m partial to the getting hot chocolate and on to cannolis. Are you walking? Because… that would be lovely.

I second the walking idea. I’m prejudiced in favour of walking. Perhaps part of the reason I’m single. 😛

:rotfl: You know, it depends on how utilitarian the walking is and what kind of shoes she’s wearing. I dated a guy who wouldn’t pay for parking so he parked the car away from the business area of Georgetown. It was so far away we might as well have parked in Bethesda. And I was wearing cute (read: not the most comfortable) shoes.

OP take note of her shoes.😉 And good luck!
