Do you mean like the JS and Fanny Alger posts on a different thread. I suppose so…😉

I think that it is an interesting case: should autism prevent someone from attending Mass if that autism is disruptive? It is a tricky question. And what action can be taken by the parish if the mom continues to defy the order?
It’s not a matter of disruption - after all, babies and small children are disruptive at mass but no one wants to ban them. It is a matter of danger to other parishioners. In the case of someone who poses an imminent danger to others, the parish (or any public venue) may impose restrictions on the offender’s attendance in order to ensure the safety of others.

Should the mom defy the restraining order, she could be arrested and charged with violating a court order.

The tragedy is that the parish really bent over backwards trying to accommodate the autistic boy, but the mom has an agenda and would not cooperate.

What I find ironic is that this same church, if this autistic child were still in utero, would fight to the death to save his preborn life…yet kicks him out of church for his disability.🤷

How anyone can make such a connection staggers the imagination.

I didn’t say anything about excommunication. I said they won’t let him attend mass, right?
