What does a Catholic do if

Pray the rosary and Eucharistic adoration. Mental prayer would be good. I would try to forget because it would cause me problems.

He was your friend before he said this. Nothing in him has changed. Continue on in friendship, maybe that will give you an opportunity in the future to discuss his choices.

As for a response, a simple okay, or something to acknowledge him is good.
 
One can love that foot, & hate the dirt that’s on it. Point: The dirt IS being removed, not allowed to stay there.

He came out to me when i came out to him. It was a moment of trust and i wouldn’t just drop a friendship like that. He knows i dont agree with gay marriage
