What does "a prophet is not without honor in his own country mean"?

I hope I’m quoting that right.Really though,I dont know what it means.Does it mean that those who’s group you associate with wont always appreciate your advice or…?

And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house.” Matthew 13:57

Jesus was explaining why he was being rejected in his home town of Nazareth. He also could do no miracles there because of their lack of faith.
