What is a traditional role of the padrinos de laso (sponsors that put the double rosary over the bride and groom)? Are they suppose to dress exactly the same as the bridal party, walk down the aisle, stand with the bridal party, and at the reception are they suppose to sit at the bridal party table?

Designation of a padrino de laso is a wedding custom unique to Hispanic Catholics and is a cultural custom that is not part of the Catholic nuptial liturgy. The Church usually allows such cultural customs to be incorporated into the nuptial liturgy but does not mandate them or give “regulations” for them. I recommend that you consult with the wedding coordinator familiar with Hispanic wedding customs for information on the role of the padrinos de laso.
