I finally talked 2 a counselor. It is hard 2 admit but I have been sexually assaulted 2Xs in my lifetime & abused 4 yrs by a family members. I didnt think these things still affect me but I have difficult time having a healthy relationship w/ men. I have never thought I had a hard life but I guess when I tell people they think I do. Y does Jesus permit suffering like this? All of this happened in my childhood.

I’m so sorry for your pain. I guess the answer is man’s free will. It allows men to KNOW good and EVIL. It sounds like you have had your share of KNOWING evil and I hope now you get blessed and showered with GOOD. I’m praying for good things for you. I don’t know how, but try to let the evil go to the past and think of only what is good for today. Jesus loves you, you are here. There is no one like you. Perhaps these things happened so you would understand and be able to help someone else. Unfortunately, evil is EVERYWHERE in our world. It’s hard to believe it’s even in our families…

Praying for you.

😦 I don’t know why he permits suffering like those, but I trust in his Goodness, His love and mercy. I believe he has a plan for us and that through such suffering we will grow stronger and also have a great affinity with the name above all other names, the king of kings, the creator and ruler of all. who also suffered in their life here on earth, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus to St Margaret-Mary Alacoque

"Behold the Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting (Crucifixion) and consuming Itself (Last Supper, Eucharist), in order to testify Its love;

“And I saw the river over which every soul must pass to reach the kingdom of Heaven. And the name of that river was suffering… And I saw the boat which carries souls across the river. And the name of that boat was Love.” - St John of the Cross
Philippians 4:12-13:
12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound; in any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and want. 13 I can do all things in him who strengthens me.
I hope you don’t mind if I share some posts with you on forgiveness that I believe will really help -

I don’t know how to answer your question. My heart goes out to you. It is good that you talked to a counselor. I pray that the Holy Spirit assist and guide you always on your spiritual journey, and bring you healing and peace.

To keep safe, have no involvement with those family members if you can help it. (But I hope somebody with suitable experience will give you more detailed specialist “support” than me.)

Gradually become confident in your memories.
