What does Chistmas mean too me?.
Code:
When I was a child,I would ,make my list out for what I wanted from Santa. Than the night before ,I would leave cookies out,for Santa, and go too sleep. In the morning I
would run down stairs too see what Santa left me.
Code:
But now, as I got older, I realize that what maks me happy now, is the fact, that it,s
not the gifts under the Tree,But that little child, born in a manger,on that cool night on
Chistmas,in Betelham,who,s name is Jesus.
Every year I go up to the Manger in church, and kneel, and give “Thanks” for Jesus
coming into the world too save us. I also Thank, Mary for saying yes too the Angel,
so that Jesus could be born,My heart will always be full of joy, because, looking at
Jesus in the Manger,I know now, that this is the most precious gift that one can say,
God “THANK YOU” ,for you have brought light into the world. May we always give
you Thanks.🙂

Powerful words. I agree with you one hundred per cent!

This is my first Christmas as a Christian for about twenty five years. I’ve always been more attracted by the build-up and the dinner than the presents, but the birth of Jesus was something I never gave much thought to. In more recent times, I have celebrated ‘Yule’ with food, drink and offerings to the Norse gods and landwights!!! 😊 But never again.

I am having a ball this year! The religious significance of Christmas is alive once again in me. Now the first thing I think is ‘Praise be to God, Jesus was born!’. I have a crib in my house for the first time since my childhood. It gave me huge pleasure setting it in place, and explaining to my young son the story of each character. I read him the Nativity story at bedtime just now, and find it so uplifting. More importantly, my son also loves it!

What can I say? It just feels right. Only now do I realise what I have missed, all these long years.

Christmas means more to me this year than any other I can ever remember. Presents come and go, we forget what we have received in time. But as a Catholic come home after 30 years, I am just thrilled at the possibility of celebrating what I should have been celebrating all this time. I too will kneel before the manger in thanksgiving for this wondrous event and for welcoming me home. There is a picture of Christ knocking at a door, He has no handle on His side, my side has the handle. It took a long time, but I finally opened it. I became a lector and will read at Christmas Mass in the morning. What an honor. I have been given much more than I give. Just feel so blessed.

A happy, holy and blessed Christmas to all.
