What does "ends of the earth" or four corners earth mean?

What does “ends of the earth” or four corners earth mean? My Muslims friend is saying scripture says world is flat. I told him the bible is only for faith and morals and not history or science.

Yea, that is the way I take it for Revelation 7:1. but I guess I am more questioning Luke 4:5; Mathew 4:5, how can Jesus see the Kingdoms?

I view it in a similar manner as when I hear someone say, “It’s raining cats and dogs outside.” IOW, I don’t go and call the SPCA. Not everything in Holy Scripture is to be taken literally.

Four corners is north south east and west. Isaiah somewhere says the “circle of the earth”. Ends of the earth is just an expression that means all over.
