What does INRI mean?

I have heard that like the Latin words that yield the acronym INRI, the equivalent Hebrew words yield the acronym YHWH and that such would be one explanation why the Jews petitioned Pilate to change the words used in the charge posted over the crucified Jesus. Any truth to that?
