What does it mean? Spirits etc

Hi,
I hope someone can help me figure this out? I have NEVER told anyone as people tend to think Im off the planet and typically most religious people shy away from it and I stop but…

from a young age I have always had people close to me die and I always knew they were going to, this lead me to take myself to church against my parents wishes at 10. I have always seen apparitions and they are all different. And usually I can recite the Lords Prayer and they go away. I have been through very hard times with my husband, getting sick and asked for God to help me have the strength to endure, and washing over suddenly, was peace. And I felt God tell me what to do, and I did precisely what he said and everything was fine.

Recently I have begun seeing lots of spirits in lots of places, and last night, I was trying to pray and I could feel a very bad spirit in my house, the worst Ive ever encountered. It wouldn’t let me pray or “see” God. Kept filling my head with terrible images. I felt the most fear ever in my life and was trying to say the Lords prayer but it wouldn’t let me. I blessed the house today though, hope that helps.
Sorry, if this is a bit garbled but so much to say and very little space.

I have died several times and survived and been conscious long hours past having a heart beat. And everytime I do, its the most peaceful feeling. I know for a fact there is a God. And I have faith in miracles.

But I hope you can read this with an open mind and be able to help me to know if any of this is from a good place and what I can do to be able to help others is ultimately what I seek to be able to do. Either I need a psychiatrist or some spiritual guidance. And NO, I am not certified crazy or depressed and not under any particular stress or drugs, this has happened my whole life and Im from a decent family etc.

There is also some more to things but this is in a nutshell.

I believe you.Please don’t go to a Psychiatrist…A Holy Priest would be better.
Have you had your house blessed? Are you praying the rosary daily?
Within your family, are there or were there people involved in Masonry or New Age??

In answer to your question no there hasn’t been anyone in the family involved in anything, however, along time ago, my mother was a scripture teacher and just suddenly one day stopped. My fathers mother was a devout catholic.

Sorry, also, haven’t had the house blessed as yet. I have asked my parish father to come around but he is very busy. Maybe I should tell him why exactly?

But there has been a particular entity that has followed me from a child and asked my mother about it once and she told me the same one followed her when she was a child too. But that one isn’t the concern as I do know that its the ones that “feel” evil and generate evil feelings.
 
Maybe you can ask your mother that both of you go see a priest. Maybe you can go to 2 or 3 different priests… I would not suggest going to a Psychiatrist since you already know that they are going to tell you that you are crazy…

Also have the House blessed…ASAP
 
I have blessed the house myself with the Easter Prayer house blessing today though, but not by a priest.
But thanks very much for your help though. But typically what is the purpose of spirits. I mean obviously the bad ones are for nothing good but the others?

Are they angels etc.? Because I have seen somewhere though, that no spirit is for any purpose of good. How accurate would you say that is?

There are bad spirits and good spirits.
If you read the life of St. Padre Pio … he was tormented by evil spirits

If they are causing you to have feelings of anxiety and fear then those are not good spirits
The spirit of God is a spirit of peace…
 
The mind is a wonderful thing. I knew someone once who had read 17 books in one day–they just turned the pages and absorbed the information, like scanner. Other people are able to see colors when they think of numbers–each number has a color associated with it. Other people–Marilu Henner is one–can recite the incidents of an entire day 20 or 30 years in the past; if you ask them about a football game they saw in 1974, they can tell you play by play what happened. And they never make a mistake. Some autistic people are geniuses at music or math. Some people can do incredibly complex math problems faster than a computer. There has been recent research on people who have been hit in the head–some of them develop previously unknown powers, such as the ability to write poetry or music. A doctor in Sydney is working on this, and he has succeeded in re-creating those abilities with small electrical charges to the brain. But it doesn’t work in everyone.

Before you go overboard with spiritual and religious ideas, I suggest you try reading some books by Oliver Sacks: Island of the Color Blind, Seeing Voices, The Mind’s Eye, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat. I think you will see that “seeing spirits” is fairly mild compared to some of the things Sacks wrote about.

I would insist on him blessing your home, I know a deacon who blesses homes and he has shared his experiences. I felt something not right when we moved backed into our home after a renter moved out. We had an Orthodox monk bless our home, with incense, holy water and prayers. The ominous feeling left, like the house was lighter, in weight and brighter.
 
If you don’t already, it might be a good idea to bring some Holy Water home for use in your house. At a point where I felt very much under spiritual attack, I also began wearing a St. Benedict’s medal 24/7 and prayed to God, Our Lady the Angels and Saints for protection. Pray the Rosary daily. And I agree with the others that your house should be blessed.

This is good advice…

I also have a question? Has this situation affected your relationship with others? Are you doing any harm to others? ( These are some questions, if answered yes… then most likely it is a psychiatric illness)

Base on what you poste, I do not believe that you have an illness, just as long as you have empathy on other and you do not do harm to yourself then you’re good…
 
Thankyou very much everyone for all your helpful thoughts and ideas. I know the mind is a very powerful thing, and I have heard about there is 3 people in the world that have that amazing memory ability to be able to tell you anything and everything from 1990 or so.
I have always tried to stay open minded about things and remain unbiased. I find it incredible the scope of our capacities.

I am one of those types of people that loves to learn, namely why Im studying for bachelor’s degree at the moment.

Also in answer to the last question about whether it affects my relationships or anything negative? No, it doesn’t, actually it enhances them because, well, if it was strictly only seeing spirits that would be one thing but I “feel” people. No, not like a psychic thing. I cant know what they are thinking but that’s another topic, really.

I have always lived each day like its my last, with the love, passion and gratitude of a lifetime. There’s no point waiting until someone is gone before you can truly reflect upon the things you should have done or said, today is the day, right now is the moment and you can’t waste any moments we are given. No-one ever remembers what we argue about afterwards but love embraces an eternity.

Also to answer another question, I pray several times a day typically and the whole concern I had with the spirit I encountered was that I was unable to pray. I have been married for 20 years and married my first boyfriend. In all this time he has NEVER seen me terrified. I was shaking and was filled with terrible images. I took my childrens baptism candles, lit them and placed them at the doorways and it stopped.
 
What did you mean by saying in the OP that all the apparitions you see are different? Did you mean, by their looks, the feelings they gave you, etc?
