The supposition that eternal law is correct must be based on the primer evidence of divine law. The royal integrity of canon law and its supositions based on apostolic tradition is real.
I suppose then the wisest thing to do would be to win souls.I tend to agree with this John Gill when he says that in the Bible the wise man is a man who is good and righteous. Biblical wisdom does not consist on the knowledge of theories, but in the way we live. One can be deeply acquainted with all kind of theories, but if he is wicked, then he is the foolest of all men. That would be “truth” without wisdom. What kind of man can look for truth without any concern for wisdom?
Others reached that conclusion before you. For nine hundred years, the city of Constantinople resisted. Then it was conquered and renamed to Istanbul. Five times per day, people there face Mecca and pray. Somebody won their souls. However, what connection is there between military aggression and wisdom? And how can you be free to pursue wisdom if you are obligated to appear orthodox to inquisitive and unimaginative neighbors who are looking for any pretext to denounce people who go beyond attitudes and lip service in search of ideas?I suppose then the wisest thing to do would be to win souls.
Wisdom can be acquired, or given as a spiritual gift. To naturally acquire wisdom, one has to be informed with truth. By suppressing intelligent dialogue, and freedom of ideas exchange one is kept from advancing in wisdom, the term philosophy is defined as the “study of wisdom” and it is my conviction that everyone is a philosopher in their own right. If I wanted to conspire against humanity from advancing in wisdom, I would inundate the senses with an overload of sense stimuli, emphasize trivialities in order to prevent deeper thinking, keeping all things superficial. It is my conviction that this is happening in our society. Some call it :" the dumbing down of America". I can see evil in this conspiracy against advancing in truth and wisdom. We have an enemy who knows how to use our weaknesses against us, to prevent us from advancing in the truth.Others reached that conclusion before you.
