What does it take to become a Jesuit?

Excuse me for saying OP, but the decision your looking to make about the rest of your life is going to need a more serious period of discernment than you seem to be giving it. You seem to be all over the map and have little idea what you truly want to do or what God is calling you to do. You have to choose the right path, not just any path. After all, this is not like joining the local Moose Lodge!

I kindly suggest a period of prayer and thought be given to such a momentous move, and then talk to a Jesuit adviser, or even a spiritual adviser who can answer your questions properly and to help you find out where you truly belong.

Seems to me the question might be prompted by our new Holy Father’s “S.J.” I predict lots of new vocations to the Jesuits because of our Pope’s holy, humble witness.
