What does the Bible really say about drinking wine and liquor?

Hi everyone,

I have a big question. A friend of mine that is Baptist is completely convinced that drinking even a sip of wine is banned according to the bible. He won’t believe me that the scriptures say that drinking isn’t bad its getting drunk and becoming an alcoholic. So my question is can you help me and back it up by scripture to help me point out the truth? I will be very appreciative for any and all answers you can provide.
