What does the Bible say about war?

Is there anywhere in the Bible that mentions the Lord’s view on
war?
In several conversations had recently people are saying that it is wrong and God does not want war; it is killing and against the commandment “Thou shalt not kill”. I do not know how to respond to this.
Please help.
