What does the Catholic Church has to say about good and bad "energy"?

I am brazillian and my family is spiritist (I don’t know if that is the right word). I was too until I learned that the Catholic history is filled with slander and myths.

My question is: My old religion believed that some people have good energies or bad energies.
For example: If a person stays in a bar for too long, she will absorb the energy of the people there, and it often is negative, and that makes that person bring part of that heavy atmosphere home.

I always believed that, but I don’t know what catholics have to say about that?

Can someone help me?

(Also help me learn english and correct any mistakes I might have made, please)

I think we use different terms. Like “spirit of laziness/drunkenness” etc. The church teaches us about near occasions of sin and how being around poor influences can completely change our opinion on sin from one of disgust at a sin to acceptance. Which can be a very dangerous thing indeed!!!

Energy is an actual physical quantity with the dimensions of mass times length squared divided by time squared. People who talk like that are using the word in a nonsensical way. While it may sound like they are making sense, they are really talking nonsense.

Im not sure about a specific doctorine but i know that we fight a spiritual battle daily that most arent aware of. From my own experiences i avoid bars/music/ppl/places that have this dark atmosphere youre talking about.
