What does the Catholic Church teach about "The Rapture"?

My son (baptist) and I disagree on the end times. He believes all believers will be taken up before the end of the world in what is called “The Rapture”. He backs it up with several scriptures, I am wondering what does the Catholic Church say on that? Can you give me scripture to back up what it really means? Thank you for your consideration.
