What does the Church say about UFOs and ghosts?

I was wondering: my husband likes to watch and read about UFOs and Aliens and related subjects. what is the churchs’ official teachings on this? I think we should stay away from it.
also wondering about the ghost stories and ghosts haunting people- seems like dabbling in the occult to me and I m afraid of it/think its not a good idea. what does our church say about this?
